Medhat Stefanos
Chairman
Vice Chairman of Titan Cement Egypt,
Eng. Medhat Stefanos is currently the Vice Chairman of Titan Cement Egypt and Chairman of the Cement Division of the Federation of Egyptian Industries.
Eng. Stefanos is also the Vice-Chairman of the Greek Egyptian Business Council and President of the Greek-Egyptian Business Forum. He is a Non- Executive Board member of Samcrete Engineers and Contractors.
Eng. Stefanos is Vice-Chairman of the Chamber of Building Materials Industries. He is also a member of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (EBA) and executive member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt.
He holds a B.Sc. degree in Engineering from Ain Shams University, Faculty of Architectural Engineering Department, and also holds an Executive Management Diploma from the American University in Cairo (AUC). Other notable certificates obtained by Eng. Stefanos include the:

José Maria Magrina

Jose Maria Magrina received his graduate degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain), an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa SL and an MBA from The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology. He also received a Certified Cement Manufacturing Professional designation from the FL Smidth Institute.
Jose Maria has vast international experience in various executive roles. His professional career started at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a management consultant. Two years later, he joined Deloitte in a similar position where he focused on supply chain optimization, market research and strategic planning in the construction and gas/oil sectors.
Since 2007, he served as the Managing Director of a key cement producer in the Egyptian market as well as its ready-mix arm, helping the company to grow an international reputation for its high-quality products and services.
Mr. Jose Maria joined HeidelbergCement in October 2016 as a CEO for Suez Cement Group of Companies. SCGC is the country’s largest cement producer (with 10 million-ton of capacity) with an industry network of five production facilities located in Suez, Kattameya, Tourah, Helwan and El Minya, delivering quality white and grey cement to both Egyptian and export markets.

Eng. Tarek Talaat

Eng. Tarek Talaat has cumulated wide experiences as senior executive in the cement industry for more than 19 years in various markets with global and domestic cement leaders.
Tarek Talaat is graduated as civil engineer form Cairo University in 1990. He had burnished his skills with extra studies in finance at INSEAD, Paris, France, and in 2009 completed his studies for the Executive MBA program with Swiss Business School, Zurich, Switzerland.
In 2001, he joined Lafarge group as commercial director for Alexandria Portland Cement Company and management committee member for Lafarge-Titan Joint Venture in Egypt. In 2004, he joined Cementia Trading AG, Zurich, Switzerland, the international trading arm of Lafarge, as regional manager for Middle East and East Africa. In 2008, he returned to Egypt re-joining Titan Cement Egypt as business development director and management committee member.
From 2009 till 2015, he was the chief commercial officer and deputy CEO of Arabian Cement Company, leading and developing the commercial division and contributing to the successful establishment of Arabian Cement Company in the Egyptian market.
From 2016 till 2018, He was the sales and marketing director of Ras Al Khaimah Co. for White Cement, UAE, leading the group sales, marketing and logistics functions for its sales and export operations in UAE market, Gulf Market and more than 12 other markets in Asia, Africa, Europe and Americas.
From June 2019, Eng. Tarek Talaat is the managing director of Mir Cement Co. (Qena) and its subsidiary Minya Portland Cement.

Carlos Emilio Gonzalez

As the Country President, Mr. Gonzalez is in charge of CEMEX operations in Egypt. He brings more than 17 years of executive experience in driving the growth of cement, ready-mix and aggregates industry globally. Previously, Mr. Gonzalez was the President of CEMEX in the Dominican Republic Haiti and Bahamas, and with the support of 1,000 employees he contributed remarkably in shaping the cement and ready-mix industry as well as the development of the housing and infrastructure construction sectors in these countries.
Prior to the aforementioned accomplishments, Mr. Gonzalez was the General Manager of CEMEX Costa Rica, he was in charge of its operations which included cement, ready-mix, aggregation, low-income housing, infrastructure construction, and construmara retail chain business units. Formerly, he was CEMEX Nicaragua General Manager, he was in command of CEMEX business facets in Nicaragua and El Salvador.
Prior to joining CEMEX, Mr. Gonzalez was a Project Manager at Boston Consulting Group in Mexico working in strategy development for major Latin American corporations in different industries such as glass, pharmaceuticals, chemical products, retail, and consumer products. He started his professional career as a Field Engineer at Schlumberger working in the oil services industry for key oil corporations in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Mexico.

Throughout his international career, Solomon has held roles of increasing responsibility that have spanned country, regional and global assignments. His areas of expertise include: general management, profit and loss responsibilities, crisis and pandemic management, restructuring and spearheading the implementation and adoption of industry 4.0 technologies.

Sergio Alcantarilla

Sergio Alcantarilla has been Arabian Cement Company’s (ACC) Chief Executive Officer since September 2016.
Mr Alcantarilla is responsible for strategically leading and managing ACC’s operations. He first joined ACC in November 2009 as the Plant Manager and Member of the Management Committee. Before holding his current post, Mr Alcantarilla was the Chief Operating Officer and Member of ACC’s Executive Committee from June 2012 to August 2016, where he was responsible for managing the operations of the company’s plant in El Ain El Shokhna in addition to handling ACC’s projects and procurement departments.
Mr Alcantarilla also actively participated in the preparation phase of ACC’s IPO. Before joining ACC, Mr Alcantarilla worked as the Technical Manager and Production Manager of Cementos Barrero in Spain from 2002 till 2009.
Mr Alcantarilla has over 15 years of experience in the cement industry, and throughout his career, he published several articles related to energy generation with biomass in international magazines. Mr Alcantarilla graduated in 2001 from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering at Seville University, Spain. Moreover, in 2015, Mr Alcantarilla got his Executive MBA with honours from the IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.

Noha Bakr
Executive Director
Dr. Noha Bakr holds a Ph.D. in the interdisciplinary field of International Relations and International Organizations. She had received a Distinguished Alumni award from the American University in Cairo & National Defense University of Washington.
She is currently the Executive Director of the Cement Division, in the Egyptian Federation Industries, in addition to her position as a Professor Adjunct Faculty, Political Science Department in the American University in Cairo teaching International Organizations & Human Rights. Through her career, she has worked as a civil servant holding the position of the Assistant to the Minister of International Cooperation for five years, in charge of International Economic Cooperation with Canada and the Americas. Dr. Bakr has also worked in the Cement industry as the Communication Director & Spokes Women of Lafarge Egypt.
As an academic her publications are focused in the field of security, and international organizations. Dr. Bakr has headed different Panels, as a speaker & participant in conferences, workshops, and programs, on the national, regional, and international level, lectured in various academic & industrial platforms.
Dr. Bakr has been a contributor of a weekly article in Ahram Iktisady publication for two years, Contributor to Beyond; a periodical issued by former United Nations employees. She is also a member of the Political Science Committee in the Higher Council of Culture, Member of the Steering Committee of Tana Security Forum of the African Union, and Member of the Egyptian Council of Foreign Affairs, Board Member of the Arab NetWork for Tolerance, Member of the Advisory Board of the Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies, Member of the Egyptian International Economic Forum, and a guest in different media programs: providing analysis to current events, and hard and soft security challenges.
