CI Capital Holding and Cement Producers Division hold a celebration marking the end of the first training course for journalists

Cairo, March 11, 2019 – CI Capital Holding, in cooperation with the Cement Producers Division under the umbrella of the Building Materials Chamber of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, organized a ceremony to honor journalists who passed the first training course held from 29 January to 19 February 2019 at the Egyptian Federation of Industries. During the celebration, the Cement Producers Division delivered the Journalism Excellence Awards to the participants in the competition for the top three press releases not published for the cement industry. The journalists praised the training program, which highlighted the most influential factors affecting the Egyptian economy, the size of the cement sector and its role in the macroeconomy.

The event was attended by Mr. Moncef Morsi, Co-Chair of the Research Department at CI Capital Holding, Eng. Medhat Stephanos, Chairman of the Cement Producers Division, Dr. Noha Bakr, Executive Director of the Cement Producers Division, and from various newspapers and news websites in Egypt.

The journalists praised the organization of the training course and the importance of explaining the concepts related to macroeconomics including economic growth, free market mechanisms, monetary and financial policy of the state and its impact on the business sector in general, Cement in particular as well as their impact on the relevant economic sectors, which contributed to the review of available investment opportunities and potential challenges to this important industrial sector.

The trainees also praised the effectiveness of the training course, which gave participants a good opportunity to develop their skills and abilities, thanks to the interactive approach of the lecturers, who have extensive experience in developing interactive workshops and who have also made every effort to interpret, provide information and statistics to answer participants’ questions and provide Information that helps them to audit various press reports based on available evidence, information, and statistics.

“We were pleased to organize this training course for 40 Egyptian journalists, working in various institutions and the press sectors,” said Eng. Medhat Stephanos, Chairman of Cement Producers Division, in order to ensure continuous communication with the journalists and provide them with technical support in recognition of the role of the press in spreading awareness on economic issues.

For his part, Mr. Moncef Morsi – Co-Chair of the Department of Research CI Capital Holding Company – said he is “proud of CI Capital associated with the Cement Producers Division to organize such training course for journalists, and the media, as it is link between professionals in the economic and development fields, and the Citizens benefiting from various services and products”.

The Cement Producers Division was established in 2013 in order to develop the cement industry in Egypt. The Division functions under the umbrella the Building Materials Chamber of the Federation of Egyptian Industries. The cement sector employs 50 thousand direct labor, and 200 thousand indirect labor, in 20 companies with forty-eight production lines distributed geographically throughout the Republic.
